Get tested for Ketosis -- this is bad for the baby and is linked to dehydration. At my worst, I was 2+ ketones. Prolonged ketone exposure can lead to mental retardation in your infant. Just a heads up.
I had this -- they called it hyper-emesis.
I eventually had to be admitted to the hospital for overnight stays where they helped me to gain some weight (I was losing a lott of weight). Nothing helped, not medicine, not preggo-pops, not suppositories, not sips of water. I couldn't even think about keeping prenatals down.
It was misery. If this happens to you, I feel for you, but women do deliver just fine. I didn't, but they told me it had nothing to do with the vomiting.
Keep going to the ER every other day if you have to to keep yourself hydrated. They may ultimately decide to admit you if it's best for your baby.
Keep us updated!
I had an issue with this at around 15 weeks....I went to the ER and got an IV and everything came back ok, but i still didn't feel well for about a week after that. They told me it was just the flu and that with a weaked immune system from the baby it was just going to take longer to bounce back from. When i rechecked with my OB she reassured me that our little ones are very tough and that the most important thing was to just keep drinking water. It took awhile but everything got back to normal and i started to be able to eat again. So just try your best to keep yourself hydrated and hopefully you feel better soon!! Good Luck
hi there iv had really bad morning sicknes pst 2 wks and its been like 24/7, to the point where i feel ill. but iv been havin little bits of ginger beer and ginger biscuits which helps for few hrs but after a day or 2 they became sickly for me. but all ppl r different right so y not try giving the ginger thing ago. hope u feel betta soon :)
keep drinking fluids and taking your prenatals, maybe try gateraid or pedialite to make sure you don't get dehydrated. Don't worry too much about not eating to much for a few days, you and the baby will be fine, give it another day or two and if you're still feeling like this all your Dr, maybe you'll be one of the unlucky few who get sicker and sicker thoughout the pregnancy and will need meds
try fizzy original or orange lucozade, works for me. failing that, there are several medications that your dr can prescribe to keep sickness at bay
