My uterus is also tipped back. At 10 wks they had to do a trans vaginal u/s because the normal one wouldn't show anything. You most likely wont show as early either. I got pregnant with my first opps so no problem there. Only complication I found when I googled for information on it was that if your uterus doesn't correct it's self during pregnancy it can make it more difficult to go to the bathroom sometimes resulting in a catheter which only happens around 10% of the time.
my cervix is back further too and my gyn said it was better for having babies
Thanks ladies. I feel so much better now. I was getting scared.
When my SIL was 12 weeks they couldn't pick up the baby's HB on doppler and did an u/s. They found that her uterus was tilted back and that was why. Like you they did not give her any information about it, just that "everything will be fine." She wasn't even trying to get pregnant, so I don't think that it should cause any problems.
My uterus is also tilted and far back. I have 3 childrena nd on my 4th.... So getting pregnant should be no problem... I just hate when they check my cervix b/c it hurts a little since its so far back.....
My uterus was also tilted backwards and I got pregnant the 1st time I even tried!
Thank you. She should have explained it better but she told me don't worry about it. Thank you so much.
it just means your uterus is positioned differently than the "average woman". Your doctor really should have explained more to you. It won't necessarily cause you problems getting pregnant. It COULD, but it could also make is EASIER. My Mom and I both have tipped uterus's and we get pregnant EXTREMELY easy. The only problem I've had with mine is that it's tipped a little further back than normal...the doctors have to push further in when checking my cervix or doing a pap smear. No big deal really.
