Well I had an appt yestrday and told my dr about it and he gave me promethazine tabs for the nausea and Nexium for my acid reflux....it seems to be helping somewhat (its only been 1 day)..ill have to wait a couple more days to see if this really helps...though im still experiencing those sharp pain in my stomach..we'll see..
I have been experiencing the same thing and my doctor said I was having an esophagile spasim. It is causing acid reflux, when I eat, due to the extra gas, try taking gas-x after you eat. It also helps to lay flat until the pain subsides.
Gas-X is safe to take while pregnant too.
OMG!! Ive been experiencing horrible stomach pains as well. It started yesterday at around 1p and it was just nausea. Then I started to burp ALOT, but still feel nausea. Then this morning, it went to go buy some Mylanta and it didnt work at all. All day today, spaced out about 15-20 minutes, I get this strong pain on top of my stomach near my esophagus, as if someone is twisting my insides and it makes the nausea worse for that minute the pain is there. I have no idea what it is but i know it has something to do with indigestion because a few months before i became pregnant, I was told I have acid reflux and was taking protonix for a month or so, then it went away, but came back all of a sudden with the pregnancy. The pains are soo bad im kinda contemplating whether I should go to the ER or just wait another day. It feels like my insides are going to explode. Im kinda scared. I wonder if that kind of pain just normally comes along with the nausea because this is my first pregnancy that i experience nausea, my first pregnancy, it was just heartburn, nothing else. Hopefully tomorrow I wake up feeling better and that this pain passes soon...good nite all..take care!
you can take maalox. if it is gas type pain, you can take gas-x. if it is morining type sickness, they recommend eating small meals, and eat something like saltines in the morning before you get up....hope this helps
I think it would depend on what is actually causing it. Honestly, you probably won't be able to find much of anything.
