Stretch Marks

Hello there! I am five and a half months pregnant with my first precious gift! So far,I don't have any stretch marks. I have grown quite a bit. In fact my baby is measuring a little bigger than average and it shows. My question is if there is an average time period most women get stretch marks? I've heard so many different things so I thought I would post the question to see what answers other mommies give. Thank you for all your answers in advance!

i hv 2 sons.. Born full term, gained 35 lbs each, but zero stretchmark. I use palmers stretchmark cream. Dont know whether thats why i did not get them or not, but worth a try.

I used stretchmark cream my whole pregnancy and thought I was going to get away without getting any stretchmarks. But, during my last month they all showed up. It's been 3 years now and they are almost gone now. I found some really good creams and they've been helping a lot.

Stretchmarks are mainly genetic so no amount of moisturizing and lotion is going to help if you're going to get them. Some women get them early on, some get them the last couple months and some women don't even get them until AFTER baby is born!

Don't worry about it. If you do end up with some they fade. I personally don't have an issue with stretchmarks (I have them but I don't mind them) and I hope you are proud of them if you do get any. ;-)

I used everything imaginable during my first pregnancy and never had them...........or so I thought:-( After my DS was born I noticed I had them all over the just didnt show untill my skin shunk and then I had all the loose skin. Then with my 2nd, 3rd and 4th they just got worse:-( Everyone is diffrent though. I thought because my mom never got them That I wouldnt either, well I was wrong. I dont think there is any magic lotion to stop you from getting them. If your lucky you wont and if you do get them........wear them like a badge of honor:-)))

I have been putting vitamin e lotion on my belly and breasts like a mad woman! :) Every morning and night and if my belly gets itchy during the day. I've heard it may help but if you're gonna get them it can't stop them!
