Sweep Success????

Im having a sweep on Thursday at 39 weeks 3 days. Anyone know how this works and if it will be of any use??? Im in constant pain with SPD and im praying things start naturally before then. What are my chances of this helping???

i had one with my son at 37 weeks and it was very painfull but only for a minute but it didint bring my labour on i got slight contractions for few days but ended up being induced few days later which was awful if im honest but pain is short lived when you hold your baby we all say we would never do it again but im trying for my 3rd now good luck and hope it works for you x

I had my membranes swept three times and it didn't do anything.  :(  It gave me some mild cramping...but I wound up being induced 4 days later.  I HOPE it works for you, as it IS effective for some women!!  GOOD LUCK!  You're ALMOST there!

Has anyone here used clary sage oil as natural means of inducin labour????

I don't know what the chances are of putting you into labor. When they stripped my membranes I had each girl (two different pregnancies) in less than 24 hours!

I think that is when they strip your membranes but I could be wrong.  I haven't had it done but lots of ladies on here have.  And that could very well help you go into labor.  I believe that is the reason for having it done.

I cannot believe you are getting ready to give birth!!!  How exciting!!!!
