If Im due for my period on Dec 17, when is the absolute earliest I can take a HPT?

http://peeonastick.com/ has a lot of hpt info! with my first pregnancy i was like 3 weeks late and got a bfp, it was very unexpected and thats why it was that late. With my second one i was 3 days late before i got my bfp...and with this pregnancy i was 3 days before my missed period and i for a very clear bfp...i tested the next morning and an even clearer bfp...so...it depends on how much hgc is in your system.

Sara, I tested 4 days before my missed period and got a faint positive line.  I used the EPT brand (gives you a + if it's positive)....don't think that I didn't buy 6 in total and cont. to do them throughout that day b/c I was so excited (and nervous)....But if you get a faint positive, just do one again the next morning with your first urination of the day and the line should be more distinct.  GOOD LUCK to you!

I have learned on this forum that you can buy tests at the $1 store.  I didn't know that but I know with the early pregnancy tests, you can test up to 5 days before you expect your period.  My sister in law tested about 3 days before she was expecting hers and got a faint positive but when you read the small print on the early tests, it says that it can be detected in a certain percentage of women up to 5 days before your missed period.  So, if you don't get + on the 14th, test again maybe 3 days later which of course would be the day you are expecting your period anyway!!  Best of luck to you!!

5 days before your missed period with a first response test but i would recommend wating a few days after you've missed your period so that you dont waste your money and you get an accurate reading

my period is due on around 12/10---I took preg test on 12/4 and was negative and then I took one 12/6 and one this morning both have a very faint second line....couple people on the forum siad that I am pregnant.   My co-worker said that she believe it because I was eating a lot more.
