Yeah, I remember about 3 days after I stopped taking the pill I had bleeding, but it was breakthrough bleeding. I remember the eggwhite cm too and I thought I was ovulating so DH and I did the bd and on 12/30 I tested and it was BFN and then the next day I started my true period. I called my doctor and was told that the latter was my true period and the other was just my body adjusting to not having the pill anymore. It's weird how the body can fool you. I hope you get your BFP soon! I hope my cycle returns to normal and we can wait the 2 months as suggested and start back trying.
Good luck to you too! I went off the pill on 1.28.08, and 3 days later I had my regular 5 day period. I didn't use an ovulation kit or anything, but about 12 days after that, I had eggwhite cm, so I really think I ovulated. But now my period is 2 days late, even though I've been cramping for 2 weeks! I just too a hpt, and got a bfn. With my period being 2 days late, I'm thinking ALL hpt should pick up a pregnancy. So, that's why I'm thinking it's just my cycle. SO frustrating! I just hope it comes soon. And I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c.
My husband and I got decided to start trying. I went off the pill 12/1/07 and had my first period 12/31/07 and got pregnant with that period. It said I ovulated around 1/14 and I tested on 1/27 and got a "+" HPT. My period lasted 5 days and that is what it was before the pill...6.5 years ago. I didn't expect to get pregnant right off the bat and I was going to see how my next cycle was to really compare it. This pregnant unfortunately ended in another m/c. So, it'll be interesting to see how my cycles are after this. Good luck!
I now understand why professionals advise people to wait trying until you've been off the pill for a couple months. I have gotten so hopeful that I am pregnant, but now I'm really thinking my cycle is just off. Anyone else out there have stories about how long it took their cycles to go back to regular after stopping bc?
After I went off the pill my cycles were running about 34 days for several months and then returned to 28 days......which is what it was prior to starting the pill. To the best of my knowledge, no period means no ovulation......Give it a while yet though....your body may just need time to adjust.
