Brittny....that's what I'm hoping this time around..hopefully he will spend more time on me and make it worthwhile and really help me out. He is charging me $35 which sounds so much better than what I was paying before and hopefully he will be a good chiro. I don't think my midwife would just recommend anyone, as she is very picky about certain things like that. So we'll see! I figure if it goes really bad, then oh well, but I am hoping it's okay. A nice massage sounds so nice right about now. lol.
I went to the chiropractor while pregnant. I go every two weeks for the last 4 years. I knew that being pregnant I would need to go because of my hip issue anyways. I only made it to 12 weeks when I had my m/c though. My chiropractor gave me a discounted rate being so I didn't have insurance hopefully yours will work with you and help you out. I know the feeling of him only spending 3 minutes and charging you so much. Mine was only $40 an adjustment but while pg it was $20. I found a new chiropractor which now my appointments are about 20 minutes he does massage before my adjustment which makes it easier to adjust.
Cindie, thanks! Yea I guess they would have to do things differently. I hope it feels better. I have my consultation on monday and then I will make an appt. from there for an adjustment. Thankfully, it costs a LOT less than my last chiro. for an adjustment. DH was happy about that! I was also relieved because I felt so guilty paying so much for an adjustment when my my old chiro would only spend...literally...3 min. on me!! Is that even right?? We would pay him 50 bucks to do that. I was upset. But I am very thankful now.
About the dentist, my midwife just wanted me to to be sure it wasn't some sort of infection because she obviously doesn't want me to have the baby early. I haven't been to the dentist is 2 years! eeek. so hopefully they can figure out why my gums just bleed out of nowhere, I pray it's just the pregnancy. I wouldn't be going until my midwife said something. I've never been to the dentist while pregnant.
Chantal~ They change your positioning when they make adjustments when your pregnant. There are certain areas they might not touch. (I don't know what those would be... I'm thinking like in accupressure stuff) I need to see the dentist but my dentist won't see me until I"m NOT pregnant unless it's an emergency.
Thanks Tasia! =) I can't believe how close you are getting girl! Ahhh so exciting!
Cindie...thank you. I just called to make an appt. (waiting for a call back) I have a card and I am entitled to a free consultation and examination. So I guess we will see what they say when I go there. If you get there first, let me know how it goes. I'm kinda scared to go being pregnant, like something might happen, I don't know why I feel that way. lol. I'm sure it will be fine.
I also have an appt. at the end of the month for the dentist. They said it could be pregnancy related or I may have something caught in my gums. Hopefully it's just something small like that.
It's great your appointment went well!! I'll probably be going to a chiropractor a few times for my back so I'll have to let you know, lol.
I am glad things are going so well with your pregnancy and I can't wait till September to find out what you are having! Congrats making it halfway there!
Thanks ladies!! =) Amy...hopefully you will get that bfp soon! How exciting!
Linzola...thanks! I definitely don't think it will hurt to at least try. We just don't have insurance so I know it can get costly. I just want to be sure I am not throwing my money away.
