WEIGH-IN WEDNESDAY

It's time for that day of the week where you can post your weight gain or weight loss woes! What are you eating? What makes you want to gag? Does baby have any cravings..?

If you've just had a baby, what are weight loss goals?

If you're TTC, what have you done to change your diet?

Hi i am 20.5 weeks and so far have not really gained any weight.  I had such a horrible first 14 weeks that i actually lost 4.5 kg so i am still only gaining that original weight back.  I started this pregnancy at 58kg (sorry i work in kg) then lost weight and am now just back at the 57/58 kg mark depending on the time of day.  My doc is not concerned as bub is growing well and right on track for the due date so no probs there.  I'm sure that now i am feeling better the weight will pile on (especially as i have a real craving for mock cream buns - how horrible).   Anyway the longer i can hold off that 70kg mark the better.  My first baby was only little and i only gained 11kg in total so hopefully this one will follow suit - good luck everyone.

When I started charting my weight at 4 weeks, I was 205.6 lbs.  Now, at 15 weeks I'm 206.4 lbs.  I've fluctuated up and down (down this week 'cause I felt horrible over the weekend) ...so far the highest is 210.4 lbs.  I'm hoping to stay around a 20-25 lb weight gain altogether.  =D

This week I've pretty much had a food aversion to everything.  I can't find anything I *want* to eat ...so I've been eating just to feed myself and the baby.  I think what I would love is to go to a place with a salad bar and make a kick *** salad with cucumbers and chick peas and those cute little cherry tomatoes and broccoli and cauliflower!  lol

I was 159 pre pregnancy, lost 2 pounds, and then this month I gained 9 pounds (yikes).  So at 20 weeks, I weigh 166 - for a total gain of 7 pounds.

Im at 23 weeks and gained 15 pounds so far. Yikes!!!!

Joy- I know how that feels. I have PCOS too, im sure you recall from other posts. Not sure what kind of working out you are doing. Keep in mind, if you are eating healthy and working out you are also gaining muscle. You know that saying muscle ways more that fat. So if you dont eat and dont work out guess what that working out you did and that muscle you gained is what you loose first. So yes you are going to loose a couple of pounds here and there. I did only cardio for the first few months and ate healthy but smaller portions. Its hard yes but your body will get use to it. Based on my personal experience, i lost more weight doing cardio first for a few months and then working on cardio and toning up together later on. I also bought a couple of books that helped "The Body Sculpting Bible for Women" & "The abs Diet book". I also made myself a protein shake, right after working out or in the morning. After working out because protein rebuilds muscle. In the morning because since protein rebuilds muscle is also helps reduce fat. If you are on the go all you are burning calories all day. Go to your nearest GNC and you can get a jar of protein powder. Mix it in with whatever fruits you like, milk or whatever. Its yummy i tell ya. Also lots of dairy products. Not sure how well you do with dairy products but those are also good to help loose weight. Good luck. Hope this helps.

I am 11 weeks and I have already gained almost 10 lbs. I think alot of that is from bloating that I have noticed going down considerably in the last few days so we will see. I only gained 15 lbs with my first, 35 with my second and about 30 with the 3rd. So I am trying to eat healthy now that I am feeling better. I try to eat a salad everyday when I can, but for the first few weeks my body was craving pasta and potatoes... Lots of carbs then so now I am trying the fresh fruits and veggies since nausea is better... Hopefully I wont be a house when I deliver... I was 147 now I'm 156...

Have you lost 1/2 a pound, or 4.5 pounds?  (I'm asking cause it said you went from 100 to 95.5)  I hope you haven't lost 4.5 pounds. :-D  Good luck gaining girls. :-D

Well I'm TTC and I'm having a heck of a time losing weight (thanks mostly to PCOS). The MORE I work out and eat healthy, the more my weight stays constant or I gain a few lbs. But when I'm lazy and don't do a darn thing, my weight slowly decreases. WEIRD!!!

What I've done to prepare for pregnancy is I cut out a lot of sugar. I already don't eat a lot of processed, salty foods. I eat the right amounts, too.
