Yucky yeast infections

Okay so, I know what a yeast infection is, what to look for and how to take care of them. However, I do have a couple of questions about it. My first question, my boyfriend and I are very sexually active, and unprotected. Could him doing his business instead me be a main factor in the matter? Secondly, are they common while pregnant?
I havent had a yeast infection in years, and i am just curious.

I got a yeast infection early In my pregnancy it's common among pregnant women I have unprotected sex with my husband often but we are very clean we wash before and after sex no exemptions. You should not engage in intercourse during a yeast infection though because 1 it's very painful and 2 he can get your yeast infection on his penis. Just be careful and be clean. Wash your vaginal area often even when you don't have an infection and wash before and after sex every time.

Yeah & if yur using any vagina soaps (summers eve, vagisil any of that) don't use it again until yur infection goes away cuss all the soap does is take away the bacteria that yur vagina needs.

Some women are more sensitive down there than others and they get yeast infections on the regular. Doesn't necessarily mean they don't take care of themselves or anything like that. It's something to do with the ph balance. I get them every so often, and I've had it twice since I've found out I was pregnant. I'm 38weeks now so hopefully there's no more. It could be the sex that triggers it as well, it's different for everyone down there. I hope that helped a bit

I believe they are common during pregnancy and yes your bf doing his business in there could be a factor... I don't get yeast infections but I get really irritated down there after sex.
