I've had BV before I was pregnant. They just made me take 5 pills, one every day. They make your stomach upset, so it's better if you take them with food!! Idk if they'll treat you the same now that you're pregnant but I got treated in the matter of 5 days and it went away.
BV , does dont affect your baby . It's actually a discharge that's coming out of your body . Calm down , it's not anything to be scared about .
When I got BV I was at work and I started bleeding at my 12 weeks so of course I freaked out and went down to the ER they prescribed me a gel to use twice a day for 10 days I believe it went away after that (well my Dr said) the fell I use I think was called meso something sorry I can't remember really
Bv is a crappy thing and its even crappier in pregnancy there's a gel you can use vaginaly its called metronidazole vaginal gel and its amazing!!!! Works every time and its safe for baby call your doctor to get a prescription
I had it too i had too take bulky fat nasty pills 2 a day for aweek. It cleared up. I hate bv i always get it.
how are you now? hows your baby?

I'm fine now! It usually keeps it away for a while! I had a flair up in my 1st trimester but the doctor I had wouldn't give me anything and said I just needed to let it run it's course! And I was still like 9weeks and I made it to 35 before I had another flair up but outside of pregnancy flair ups are usually maybe 2 times a year
how about your baby? ugh im so frustrated right now. Im 18 weeks and started taking another antibiotics! i thought the vaginal cream was enough but now i have to take this clindamycin twice a day for a week as well! I JUST WISH NO MORE INFECTION OR BV OR WHATEVER and most specially A HEALTHY BABY PLS!
I had it with my son I also had a kidney infection at the same time so I was dehydrated as well and it sent me into labor at 25 weeks I made it to 35 weeks on modified bed rest. I was given macrobid to get rid of both
Like others have said, it's not a huge deal. It's common in pregnancy. I found out I had it at my first appt, didn't even realize it honestly. I also had a uti. Left untreated it's dangerous, simply because any bacterial infection left can get worse, but treating it with antibiotics is very common and safe. Don't stress too much.
Very healthy baby boy! Due in 23 days!!! The gel won't get to the baby and it's safe even if it did
