best antacid/heartburn medicine?
which over-the-counter antacid/heartburn medicine worked best for you?? I get it pretty often, and im making chili for dinner so i know im really gunna need something to help with it tonight. :) I'm 28 weeks and never had any issues with acid reflex or heartburn till a few weeks ago and now some night its gets so bad that it keeps me up at night. I REALLY dont want to take any medicine during my pregnancy, but this is something i just cant solve myself. tried everything already.

LOL sorry for the laugh but I learned after pregnancy number 3 to just avoid tomato sauce or anything spicy after 20 weeks. So during my 4th I went acid free until 34 weeks when heartburn just showed up from scrambled eggs. But milk always worked or eating a plain piece of bread. I always bought the honey wheat since it had flavor. But the milk should help. Good luck!

milk helps a tiny bit, but not enough to be comfortable enough to sleep.

Yea I kinda just dealt with it. If its that bad ask your OB what he/she recommends. I would eat Tums also. they taste like chalk (literally) so I just stuck with the milk. Hope you feel better!

My doctor had me take tums before I eat dinner and that seemed to help some, but not always.
