The brown discharge is most likely old blood that took awhile to come out. I get that sometimes. And it's perfectly normal for birth control to affect your body differently after you have a baby. Before I had my first, I was on seasonique and after about 2 years I stayed bleeding through it and had to switch. After she was born, we tried it again and it worked perfectly. It's possible that you don't need as high of a dosage anymore, OR that birth control just isn't right for you. Talk to your ob about your concerns.
