I was wondering if you could help, Im 11 days overdue and had a sweep on Wednesday and lost some brown jelly like stuff on Thursday morning. I have a sore back but not much pain at all. Does this mean my sweep has not worked. I am going into hospital Sunday for a induction. Please reply.

the mucus plug is the cork for your cervix so to speak, and a bloody show is from way up the top of your cervix, alot of the time you have the bloody show when your in established  labour and nearly fully dilated and alot of the time it goes un-noticed, so I would think that labour isnt too far away for you :) exciting :)

Well some research that I did said it could take up to a week, but when I was pregnant (2010/11) I had my bloody show in the morning like around 8 am and at  around 11 pm my water broke. Had my baby girl the following morning since I labored all night.
