Unless you doctor has put some sort of restriction on you, Absolutely do NOT feel guilty!! Most doctors, mine included, say that a small amount of caffeine every day (usually between 200-300mg which is equivalent to 2 cups of coffee) if fine. I usually have one a day and was told to enjoy it. :)
Oh thank you so much for informing me that. Ive read it in my book and on the internet but its a lot better coming from another mother. And no I haven't been on any restrictions. I don't smoke or drink or use caffeine ever.. Well if I'm thirsty or something and all there is is a coke around I might take a drink of that but only a drink, other then that all i drink is water and milk, and an occasional caffeine free soda. Thank you so much
i'm with Victoria, in moderation caffeine is fine...i used to drink a glass or two of pepsi a day and one small coffee when i was pregnant with my daughter and all was well..she was perfectly healthy....if anything i think it probably just gives them a spurt of energy..which you'll notice if you can actually feel him/her move *lol*
I agree with them! I've cut off coffee but only because the first time I had coffee after I found out I was pregnant I got so sick! I'm sure it was my morning sickness, but I never cared to try it again. Haha. I drink decaf now, and it taste exactly the same! But anyway, in moderation, you'll be fine! Just don't drink like 5 cups a day! =)
Oh! By the way, the ONLY thing that soothed my mom's morning sickness when she was pregnant was coffee! And she had borderline hypermensis! And we are all perfectly healthy!
Victoria's right. I only drink it on occasion, but it's okay to have as long as you don't go over 200-300mg a day.
Okay thank you guys!!!!
BedfordGal- Yes I feel him move soo much its crazy I couldnt imagine giving him a caffiene burst to make him move anymore. lol.. But I love the feeling
Caffeine is ok as long as you don't overdo it. I don't drink as much coffee as before because when I had morning sickness I would get soo nauseous just smelling coffee :-( I've drank a couple of cups here and there but decaf. Only because I rather get my caffeine from soda/ chocolate lol (of course not everyday!)
