so what does it mean if my cervix is softening.... i found that out when i was in the er at 32 weeks and a few days

should i worry.... could this cause preterm labor .... i have also been having alot of cramping  or i guess braxton hicks whats does this mean???? what should ido????

well i told my doctor when i went in for my regular visit on the 17th he didnt seem very bothered by it he said if i keep having these that he will check my cervix when i go in when i am 35 weeks on the 31st

i dont have them all the time just some times and they are like small cramps

is that braxton hicks????

i dont kno what to do help....

is 32 weeks early for ur cervix to start softening????

Cervix softening is something that happens as the body starts preparing for labor.  It can happens days or weeks before labor though.

How many Braxton Hick contractions have you been having in an hour?  

Is your primary doctor aware of what is going on?  If not, you must call them and let them know.    A softening cervix along with Braxton Hicks contractions might mean you are at risk for preterm labor.  Its important to follow up with your regular doctor since doctors at the ER are not specialized in obstetrics and gynecological issues.
