I went to the hospital yesterday because I had a little fluid leakage and i was worried it may have been amniotic fluid. I also went in bc I had barely felt her move and I kept having BH contractions. I called the on call nurse and she said go in bc  you never know. So turns out no amniotic fluid, baby of course wakes up as soon as we put the monitor on, and the BH weren't too steady so it was fine. Well then she checked my cervix!! Why she felt the need to jusst go right in and man handle me the way she did im still so frustrated about. I just about jumped off the table. I know I squrimed which im sure isn't good but it hurt so bad! Any other doctor has went in slowly and nicely and found what they needed and I only had a wipe or two of blood afterwards. This time after i was discharged and got to my destination. I went pee about two hours later and bled out a huge clot! I would say about two teaspoons along with several other little clots and the normal runny type blood. I called the on call nurse again she said go back to the hospital sounds like too much. I went back they said I was fine bc it wasn't really a bright red anymore most of it was brown. they didn't do any tests. just monitored the baby had to "buzz" her to wake her up which im not fond of at all and they discharged me. well i have passed a few other clots since only when I pee. They are more of a brownish redish color. I have a pad on and its just a little brown blood now. My back and abdomen are achy. When she checked me she said im a fingertip dialated. not sure how she could tell with me squirming like i was.

QUESTIONS: Are the clots normal like they keep saying? Why are there clots to begin with? Did she just jump start my labor!!?? oh and my bh's have no pain except the one i just had  but it was barely anything.

I am so happy you said that the cervix is full of blood. All I could find on the net was bleeding is common when touched. I had no clue it was that much but now the clotting makes sense if its full of blood. Why could they not tell me that? They were acting like I was crazy for i guess not trusting them. The spotting is all brown now thank goodness. I knew that old blood turns brown bc my periods did that but i did here that the bloody show is like that too. lol i was just sooo nervous. My discharge papers from the hospital said no warm baths. I wonder if thats bc im dialated now. Thank you for responding. I know im a worrier but when they keep beating into your head bleeding is bad bleeding isn't suppose to happen for the nine months then all of a sudden im bleeding as much as i did it freaked me out. fortunately my braxton hicks have calmed down so much so Im thinking im in the clear on early labor.

Its definitely bc of the way she checked me. Well I think any how lol it hurt so bad and I was bleeding after. I heard that if the cervix is disturbed like that it can jump start later. I hope not lol shes got six more weeks and ai have six more weeks to get ready for her. lol I talked to the hospital drs four times and they kept reassuring me it was fine that this happens. I just have such a hard time believing that much blood can occur. Its probably bc we are told right from the begin bleeding is not at all good so when it happens its scary. When you have to go in for the test tell them to be gentle every time. hopefully they will listen. Im going to be doing that for now on. No reason for it to be so hard or have her entire fist shoved in that

The good news is brown blood is old blood so sounds like your ok for now.  Take a few Tylenol and relax for a bit.  Drink a large glass of water.  Maybe take a warm bath.  If you experience more clots and blood and pain then you really should be seen again.  Remember the cervix is engorged with blood and very sensitive, so if they did a rough exam, then you will bleed a lot more. Sorry you had to go through with that.  Good luck to you.

Omg I haven't been in this situation but do you think bc of the way she checked you could that be the reason your bleeding? Or it could be a jump start on labor. You talked to the doc?
