Well I had two tests within that week, both came back indeterminate.  I know I will know more on Monday however if it was chemical, I just had that question.  Thanks :)

A chemical pregnancy is when you are pregnant for a very brief period of time and then pass the fertilized egg.  Many times, this happens about the same time that the period was due so a lot of women dont even know they were pregnant because they bleed at the same time and havent tested yet.

What you describe does not sound like a chemical pregnancy.  An HCG level of 8 is very close to non pregnant levels of <5 and could be off a few units due to experimental error etc.

thank you!  i keep going back and forth on the idea of the actual chances of being pregnant and try not to get my hopes up as i think it's slim to none! but by luck i would be one of those freak of nature instances..haha. :)

Oh I see.  I do know about that situation just didn't realize it's called LEEP.   I have actually been thru that myself.  It sounds like you should get some answers soon hopefully. Let us know what happens.   Maybe you are pregnant and you are just one of those people whose numbers rise slowly?   Good luck.  Let us know what happens.

I had a bad pap and they confirmed HPV is present which is super exciting (sarcasm) so the LEEP is a procedure that they are going to do to remove those bad cells from my cervix.  And I have no idea.  Like I said, this is a new doctor I am seeing and already he seems more concerned than my old one (who moved to Atlanta at the end of June).  I actually haven't met the new doctor yet but have been back and forth with his nurses.

What is LEEP.  I'm not familiar with that?   I agree with nickieb85.  Why isn't your doc more concerned and running tests?

blah there you are! lol i have been like dang where is nickie when i need her.  hehe i just got back from ACL to have MORE blood drawn...will know something more on Monday when i go back to see the new doctor...i just don't know what to think.. my old doctor said an 8 can be normal and not pregnant and this new office is like absolutely not. there is no reason you should have had an 8 and not be pregnant.  so i think ok chemical pregnancy but i feel like i should have bled by now!

They definitely need to do blood work on you and find out what is going on with you :) I have had the same problems the last few months and am getting ready to start clomid.... i hope you the best!

no one will tell me if i had a chemical or not.  i never had regular periods however in may they found a level of 8 in my quantitative blood pregnancy test, i had a positive HPT 2 days later and a negative one 2 days after that...now it's July and I need a LEEP done however they won't do it until they know what's going on with me.  They said the only way I should have registered an 8 is if I was/am pregnant.  However I took a HPT on Wednesday morning and it was negative and I still don't have a period.  It's never been over 80 days before.

If you had a chemical pregnancy you should have bled?  Atleast that's what happened with me.  Have you taken a HPT?  I think your cycles are messed up or maybe your chemical pregnancy was misdiagnosed?
