I'm not a smoker but everything I've seen about smokers during pregnancy the best advice they were given was don't quit cold turkey. Stop little by little so you don't put so much stress on the baby. If you think you could do it cold turkey without stressing you or the baby then I would say do it that way. Hope I helped some. :)
I've smoked since I was 13 & I quit cold turkey..there's not one study that shows stopping cold turkey will hurt the baby it only helps..u need to not think of what you want anymore you're growing a life inside of you and everything you do effects how your baby will turn out for the rest of its life
Drs advice againat going cold turkey as it stresses you out and therefore stresses bub out
Do a lil each time and before you know it you will be smoke free
When you want to smoke or have the urge to Google what it does to your baby. That way when you're reading the harm it does it'll make you not want to smoke...and if u live with people that smoke maybe tell them not to smoke around you..goodluck
I was also a smoker my first pregnancy it was hard to stop .. at begining they say cold turkey is ok but once u get further along they want u to wean urself off because it can put baby in shock .. when i stopped smoking i ate ice or grabbed an apple or ate aomething healthy or chewed on a straw vs grabing a cig it was hardbecause everyone around me smokes.. but finally did it .. this preg i stopped as soon as i found out i was preg just because i new what helped me last time .. if quitting cold turkey is gonna be to stressful dont do it try to keep cutting back .. my dr told me that being super stressed is worse on u and ur baby then smoking
Talk to your doctor there is programs for mothers who smoke and cant stop they will help you i know a friend i recommended to do the same and now shes close to her due date and the program has helped her she told me they give you a hotline number and you meet in groups with other preggo moms that smoke
