Like it was said above, a lot of women are paranoid. But rightfully so, especially first time moms, cause of course you want baby to be perfectly healthy. Cookie dough IS a risk to everyone, not just pregnant women, but it is also VERY rare and unlikely to get salmonella from it. Very very unlikely. The amount you ate is nothing, don't worry. I had a spoonful before and baby is perfectly healthy and I've had an easy breezy pregnancy. Doctors tell you you can eat sushi, drink wine, etc in MODERATION. I've had sushi three times throughout my pregnancy after my first trimester and nothing at all has ever gone wrong. No sickness, baby is active and healthy. It's okay to want baby safe, but you don't have to completely cut everything out that you want. You'll be okay :)

I am certified in food safety and it wont kill u but it will cause diharea, upset stomic, stomic cramps.samonella poising is experinced my millions of americans on a daily basis and most recover just fine(many dont even know they have it they just think.must have eaten something bad) but u are taking a chance. I make egg free cookie dough cuz its amazing and taste the same i even use rice milk cuz im lactose intolerant.its just as good if not better but u cant make cookies with it they dont bake right.

I'm on my third child I have eaten medium rare steaks with all of them, runny eggs with all of them, and raw cookie dough with all of them and I had 3 healthy children like the other lady said its all about moderation my doctor doesn't even talk to me about what to eat she told me whatever I wanted to go for it

Its unlikely to hurt you. Just like how cold cuts arent safe to eat but some pregnant women do. You just have to ask yourself although unlikely to cause harm, is it worth it?

All I tasted was the tip of a butter knife lol didn't wanna do too much but didn't think that little tiny taste would hurt at all. But thank you ladies for the info/advice ;) now im baking cookies & can't wait to eat them!

I don't think your Dr advised you to eat anything containing raw egg. That isn't paranoia. That risk is very real, even to people who aren't pregnant.
Honestly, if you want to eat it, then eat it. I'm just telling you that yes it is dangerous. But other people will tell you it's fine 'because I did it and I'm healthy'. I wouldn't risk my health or baby's health like that

A little bite will not hurt you or baby. More than a spoonful is too dangerous while pregnant but I always sneak a little taste lol .

Shoooot, I've eaten cookie dough ever since I can remember and this pregnancy didn't stop me. Nothing has ever happened and if something ever does by the cause of me eating it, then I'll stop but until then, nope! Lol

I don't think it'll hurt you to have some. I always lick the spoon when I make cookies and brownies or cake. My mother in law said she kinda ate a lot of cookie dough...my bf came out alright. I wouldn't down a whole thing of it though. (:
