Congrats. I'm 8 wks 2 days. I've had some cramping off and on. Last night it was like bad period cramps. It had me worried...but after thinking about it, I think a lot of it was gas. I had a u/s today and we saw the heartbeat...everything looked good!!
just an update. got my blood work back today and my hcg is at 477 and my progesterone is at 17.5. on the 28th on Dec i was at 55 hcg and 13 progesterone. so he said that everything looks good so far!
just started some brown spotting this morning and still mild cramps on and off. im afraid im about to miscarry again. doctor told me to come in asap tomorrow am and see him. said that it could be due to the prometrium they have me on.
They also told me the cramping is normal so im just going day 2 day. I wish you the best of luck and a healthy happy 9 months
I have the same worries as you with the cramping and past miscarriage. I am just over 5 weeks lmp 11/22 so we are about the same there i went in for my levels at 13dpo and my levels were 185 though and i also go in this thursday. Try not to stress and have a safe and happy new yrs
Cramping is normal, just as Imrsoldier said. It should feel like pre-menstrual cramping. It is the uterus and ligaments supporting the uterus stretching and growing!!! I know it is scary when you've had miscarriages. I have two daughters and I've had one miscarriage (3 preg. total). Cramping is a normal pregnancy symptom.

my hgc was checked last Thursday and was at a 55, so my doctor said that i conceived just a few weeks ago. i go back in this Thursday to get my levels checked again to make sure that they are rising accordingly. my issue with miscarrying has been because of my progesterone levels, which my former doctor never checked. They have me on supplements right now.
I agree with Imrsoldier, call your doctor. I had mild cramping but everyone said it was normal. When I went for an ultrasound the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat. This probably won't happen to you as EVERYONE -even pregnancy books talk about how normal it is to have mild cramps during your first trimester.
It is normal for women to have cramping in the first weeks, but given your history of miscarriage, I would call your doctor to be safe. Ask them what they think and if they are concerned, to at least ease your mind. With having previous m/c, you definitely don't want unneeded stress. Good luck
Have you had your hcg levels checked?
