How long were you feeding? You could always pump a couple times a day until you don't have too. Weening yourself down is really the best answer I could give:P

Take antihistamines like Sudafed or the like. Another thing that helps are putting cabbage leaves in your bra but you have to kind of crush them up a little first (you could always Google it to see what the process is). Its gross bc the milk you leak will heat them, so I smelled like boiled cabbage for a week but that along with the antihistamines definitely helped the process a lot. It still hurt, but it dried my milk up within a week. I heard that sticking the leaves in the freezer first can help with the swelling too but unfortunately I didn't know that when I did it. Lol... good luck!!

Get in shower and let hot water run on ur chest while massaging both breasts stroking downward. Afterwards, crush some cold cabbage leaves and insert into ur bra. Dried mine right up in 5 days.

My daughter is 2 weeks old today abd she has been strictly breastfeeding since day one but unfortunately I've come down with a cold and a few days ago I was up all night throwing up so when I finally fell asleep my husband didn't want to wake me so he gave her formula (the hospital sent us home with 2 oz sample bottles) and now I can't get her to take to breast milk even my lactation nurse couldn't get her to take it :(. My husband feels horrible but I know he was just trying to be sweet. I've heard a lot about the cabbage leaves I'll have to read up on it to find out exactly how to do it abd give it a try. Thank you ladies!!!

You don't wanna keep pumping though because it just tells your body to produce more and more milk whether your slowing down or not, it would still produce the milk. Definitely heat!!! And ibuprofen!

Try mixing the formula with breast milk and slowly increase the milk and lower the amount of formula. You don't have to wean if you don't want to. It will just take time.
