In that case I would go for a second opinion or ask her to give you an exam, they will even give you an exam at the hospital if you let them know you feel like you might go into early labor. Some doctors get caught up and think all pregnancies are the same until something goes wrong. I had no history of early labor or problems with my cervix which is why my doctor never checked...now she is being sued. Better safe than sorry and you should always feel confident in how your pregnancy is going, dont be afraid to speak up to your doctor about doing an exam(:
Thank you that was so much help, well all I told her was she is always low I asked if I could go into early labor if she stays low and she said no but didn't check me or anything I started getting braxton hicks at 17 weeks
I went into early labor at 22 weeks my first pregnancy. I felt pressure but it was an unbearable pain. I was crying and just thought the baby was in a position that was hurting me, a couple of hours later I started bleeding and went to the hospital where they told me I was in labor. I told my doctor i was in pain earlier that day and she just brushed me off and didnt do any type of exam. The doctor can tell if your going to go into labor weeks before it will happen. If she/he did an ultrasound/sonogram or pelvic exam and says your baby is just low, they are probably right. I am now in my 26 week of my second pregnancy and just got admitted into the hospital because my doctor can tell my baby will be here in the next few weeks.
All three of my pregnancies (currently 20 weeks) my boys are extremely low. I've never gone into labor or anything.
