i do that too! it's silly, but we are only human, right? & you CAN actually see better when you take the strip out!
I'm in the 'testing early' rut myself. Those stupid, 'test five days early' tests are a rip off. I know it, but every day I take another and another KNOWING it is too early. Then there is the....'maybe I should take it apart and look at the strip under a lighted microscope just to be sure' thing. gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
thanks everyone! i have been to peeonastick. it's a great website! i'm just an early tester & i know it's silly b/c it's a waste of $. i tested early w/ my 1st & got a faint line so i guess i'm hoping for the same results this time.
I've gotten an evap line with First Response, Answer, Clearblue.... yahdah yahdah.
go check out www.peeonastick.com
Great resource for comparing your lines. Hang in there!!!
Evaporation lines are usually grey. If you're using a pink-dye test the faint lines are usually obviously just faint, not evaporation, because they will be pale pink and not grey. I've never gotten an evap line with First Response.
I'm in the same boat! I went out and got 6 $$ store HPT's of 3 different brands. one I found has a reading of 25 level. But it was BFN. however I am only on 13DPO now, and with TJ I tested at 13 or 14dpo and got a BFN and then tried again later at 17DPO and got a positive. So I've still got a few days before I try testing and expect to have a good answer.
It's driving me nuts to wait!
thanks everyone. i know i should wait to test, it's just so hard. is there any way to tell the difference between evap lines & faint second lines, or do you find out it was indeed an evap line once your period comes? BTW, isthisnormal, you have alot of patience! let us know what happens when you do decide to test again! good luck....
Before I found out I was preggo with this baby I got a line so faint on a test that I actually disregarded it, DF was convinced that I was pregnant (I didn't tell him about the test) and he went out and bought me one to take. Turns out I was preggo, I was 17dpo.
Definitely test when you're about 14dpo (you'll save money, too).
Every time I got an evap line I was not pregnant. But every time I have been pregnant I had a noticeable second line so I would definitely test closer to when your period is due.
It does make sense to me. And I'm in the same boat as you, trying to figure out tests. I tested at home about three days ago because my period was a day late. BFN. I'm now like four days late, and not one single sign of AF. I'm trying my hardest to wait and NOT take the second test yet, but I'm going crazy.
