I've felt the same pain, to the right of my bellybutton I get one area that goes from feeling kinda numb to feeling like there is a bruise. I was attributing it to adhesions from my previous surgeries but I could see how it could be related to ligament pain. It comes and goes for me too.
Only feels like this about every other or every 3rd day.. Is that normal?
okay, i just wanst sure because im not very far along. i know theres alot going on down there but i wasnt sure if the pain was associated with stretching or not. because baby isnt that big yet.
I'm 26 weeks and have felt pains on my right side most of my pregnancy. Like a tight, tugging pain (sore/pulled muscle feel). It's your round ligament stretching. Your uterus is held up by bungee cord type ligaments and now that it is growing and getting heavier, those ligaments are stretching and it can be uncomfortable. Just mention it to your dr at your apt and s/he will probably tell you the same thing.
I've had the cramping that feels similar to period pain, and my Dr said that was all normal.
However you mentioned it was specifically on your right side.. you would definitely want to mention that to your Dr as when pain to touch is localised to one side there is a alight chance it could be an ectopic pregnancy. Although I think the pain is usually quite severe for ectopic, so don't stress at all, just make sure you mention it :)
hey ladies :) im 5wks 1day preg with my first and i also experience a feeling which almost feels like my period is coming :-@. have my GP appointment on thur...does anyone kniw what happens there and also when i will get my first scan? xx
Okay thanks! Ive done the whole google thing and everything says its round ligaments stretching. Which im okay with! lol i can deal with the pain for a healthy baby :) i just wanted to make sure it wasnt a bad thing.
I'm six weeks and haven't felt that... is that normal??
Yes, I'm 5w2d and my stomach feels like I've done a million crunches!
I've been told by the ladies at my work that its from your uterus growing. All those muscles plus the abdominal wall muscles have to stretch to allow baby to have room. Even tho your baby is still small right now the uterus has already grown in size. Any growth will cause pain like that. Ive been told to expect the soreness the first trimester.
Hope this helps.
