first appointment question

I just took a home pregnancy test on monday (so four days ago) and it read positive immediately, which i figured as much being that I was three days late. I do not currently have maternity insurance and I do not qualify for any state related benefits.
I was looking into Maternity Advantage, it is a PPO related program where they recieve your bills from your doctor, and then send you a prorated rate based on insurance available discounts. Does anyone know about this company?

Also when is the best time to make your first appointment? I am approx 4 and a half weeks now, this is my second pregnancy and my first was normal and by the book...
Thank you

I also just found out I was pregnant.  I have looked into Maternity Advantage and it does sound good.
I have found only two comments, both negative. I am still looking.  I asked the
representative for references and the only thing he gave me was that they were affiliated with the American association of Pregancy.
My first pregnancy ended in a c-section, so I am planning the same for this baby.  I have called my physician, hospital, lab, and anetheistiologist and the total cost will be just under $20,000.00.

I will let you know if I find anything else. Please do the same for me.

I have never heard of that insurance. However, I'd make your first appointment anytime between now and 8 weeks. Congrats on your pregnancy!
