heavy bleeding on ivf

hi everybody,
I m Tina, this is my 1st IVF, i am in my 2ww period, which is a very difficult.. I am on day 9 after my embryo transfer, i found some brown mucus discharge, which scared me, n thats how i found this forum, i have been reading some post, and its really good see such support for each other....

i have been feeling cramps since my transfer... but today on day 12pt i have started heavy bleeding, i just cant stop crying my test is due on friday, i m not too sure if i have lost it or if there is still hope for me. i will be very thankfull if somebody can guide me on this.

hi dear, i did my test yesterday, which is negative, so thats it for me now.... we have just decided to take it slow,  i know those injections r sooo painful, anyways u take care of urself, wish everything turns out fine for u...

I am praying for you - I took the progesterone suppositories.... but i get the injections now - since 17 weeks.. they are not fun.  I am 33 weeks....but it has been a hard road... keep me updated. Sending luck your way..

i went back to my clinic yest, they started  progestrone injections instead, they wont do anything else till friday, once i have done my test.
i had 2 embryos transfered on day 3.. they were 5 n 6 cells i guess...
anyways i am really happy for you.... how many weeks it has been now...

Not necessarily.... there are plenty of woman who had some bleeding and their pregnancies were fine... brown is old blood, however bright red blood this many days after a transfer either 3 or 5 might be your AF.  I would call them today and ask if you can get your beta HCG level drawn so you don't have to torture yourself .... or get a HPT and see.... I took a blood test 7 days past transfer at my family dr.. the yes/no kind and it was NO... took HPT a few days later and positive... so things do happen... how many did they transfer and what day.. 3 or 5?

thanks dear,  for replying.... this is sooo heartbreaking...  since last 2 days, it was dark brown so nurse said not to worry as its old blood, but now its red n thinck, strange thing is i m not in severe pain... just flooded with tears....
no i don have any frozen once, as they couldnt take any eggs from my second overy....
boold test  is on friday... but now i guess i know the outcome...

I did IVF as well... the first cycle which was fresh was not successful, however the second which was frozen was. Heavy bleeding is usually not a good sign if it is bright red... but there are some woman who do bleed... I was able to get a negative on a HPT and also a Positive on a HPT a day or two before my blood test...it gave me a heads up on how things were going to turn out with the test..... do you have any embryos frozen? If you need to chat - just message me... IVF is really hard because it is pretty much out of your hands and you are on sooo many hormones and meds you can barely think straight.  Best of Luck.
