how to get my newborn to sleep on her own!

My daughter is almost 3 weeks old and never wants to be put down. When she falls asleep in our arms then put her in her crib she wakes right up. Any advice on how to get her to sleep on her own through the night so my husband and I can get sleep? Help!

Yes ^ with my daughter, I would give her a warm bath every night. I used the Johnson Nighttime wash for her soap and shampoo. When I got her out, I used the nighttime lotion. I massaged her with it, literally. Every inch of her little body! I would massage it into the souls of her feet, her hands, her calves, thighs, tummy, everything. I think that's why I had such a successful baby lol by 2 weeks, she slept the whole night. Never with me, always 10pm to 6am in her bed.
