implantation bleeding?

I have notices some "spotting" the past 5 days.. i notice it only when i use the restroom. i have a very irregular period. I notice i have somesharp pain mianly on my left side that almost like a **** but not too uncomfortable. the spoting comes and goes and i even skipped a day. i keep reading up on the implantion bleeding and i'm hoping that's what it is. my husband and i have been trying to concive since our wedding date which was oct 08. i was wondering if anyone has had the implantation bleeding and could help me.. could it be implantation bleeding or something else? i took a hpt but right before the spotting and got a negative result. when should i test again?

My las period started on July 29th and my husband and I had unprotected sex 3 days before my predicted ovulation. Since about a week after ovulation I have been nauseous, cramping, incredibly cranky, my breasts are very sore and I'm tired all the time. I don't usually get any PMS symptoms at all. I had extremely light bleeding yesterday, lasted on the day and was only noticeable when I wiped, but my period is not due until Wednesday, August 26th. Does this sound like pregnancy to you? I went to see a doctor about it on Saturday but I'm starting to think he's a poor doctor - he brushed aside half of my symptoms, didn't ask any questions, threw anti-nausea medication at me and tested me for chlamydia (I left very unhappy - I have only ever been with my husband and he was tested for all STD's when we met and came up clear - not that the doctor asked me anything about anything lol). So I'm going to a different doctor on Thursday at a women's clinic. I just wanted to ask someone who has been through pregnancy. I don't want to get my hopes up, I'm just wondering whether I should be hoping :)

test with regular hpts at weekly intervals. tests are normally positive by 17 days after sex where you've conceived. i think blood tests are positive ten days after. implantation bleeding occurs in 25% of pregnancies...i'm on my 4th pregnancy and had implantation bleeding once out of the four. it occurs 7-14 days after sex where conception has occured and usually lasts between 1 and 3 days. it is a very light bleed, usually only noticeable when you wipe.

this may sound bad but i have VERy irregular period and havent had once since sept. i had a ovarian cyst back in dec/jan around new years time.. but been to the dr & thats fine,. idk if its just bc my hormones are low or what with the neg test. i feel like im having some of the symptoms but not sure.. it was actually a first response test i took. im thinking about going to the dr for a blood test but im embarressed to make a fool of myself basically.. how soon can you get a blood test & show a positive test result?
