intrauterine growth restriction

Hi I'm 37.4 weeks.  At my check up at 35 weeks they said baby was measuring smaller. So I had an ultrasound to measure him. They said if he was to small they would have to take him out. Well at my non stress test they told me he was small but not desperately small and he could stay till his due date. Nowww yesterdays non stress app. The nurse came and told me. They had the wrong due date and he was measuring a little small for 32 weeks, but I'm 37!  So I have another ultrasound to measure again.  Sooo are they saying he's like a month behind? And being a month behind will he stay a month extra  if they dont take him out lol

They won't make him stay a month extra but its good that they are monitoring you. My sister had IUGR and they kept pushing my moms due date back. They were going to try to make her stay in for a year!!! My mom threw a fit and changed doctors to one who would finally listen to her. She was born 5 days early and was only 4 lbs. There are a few different types. Just make sure the head keeps growing (asymmetrical IUGR I think) and be sure to discuss everything with your doctor. Good luck and I will pray for you and baby

This has always been my due date .found out at 5 weeks :) hopefully he comes on time. I don't mind being late with him either. My first they said he was going to be really tiny too but he was 7 lbs hopefully this one too. Thanks guys :)

His size shouldn't mean much for when he is going to come.  The gestation time is what should matter there.  So if you are pretty certain about when you conceived then i would definitly go with the original due date, although he of course could end up being late.  The ultrasound measutments arent always that accurate either, my nephew was supposed to be like 10 1/2 lbs according to the ultrasound, and was 8 1/2 lbs when he was born.

Wow, that is kinda scary! I've measured ahead for my entire pregnancy. So they changed your due date based on the baby's size??
