Not a weird question at all! I wondered the same thing because I was in the pool daily in the weeks leading up to my daughter's birth...and like GA said it depends on HOW the water breaks. For me (sorry this may be tmi) when they broke it at the hospital it was like when you have really really really bad gas and your stomach feels full and achy and you fart (or burp) really big and all of a sudden the pressure eases up by a significant amount...so I definitely knew I would've felt that. but if you get a tear or a leak you would obviously notice your panties soaking even after you're dry....

but I seriously wondered the same thing every time i was in the water LOL I think I even went to L&D 2 or 3 times thinking I had felt my water go in the pool.

It really depends on how your water breaks.  In my experience I felt a "popping" sensation inside along with the feeling of having majorly peed myself and sometimes it's immediately followed by a contraction.  BUT if you get a tear or hole you may not notice until after you are out of the pool for a little while and realize your panties keep getting wet.  I think you will be fine.  I've actually been told that being in the pool can be good for you during pregnancy.

you probably wouldn't feel the initial gush/trickle. but if your water is broken it will continue to leak and you will notice this once you're out & dry.
