is this considered a low heart rate at 5 weeks and 6 days

i went into the er friday afternoon nov. 12 because of spotting. they did a ultra sound and found the baby and the baby's heart beat. the doctor said i was 5 weeks and 6 days and the baby's heart beat was 97 bpm, he is a lil conserned because he said thats low and it should be in the 120's. i have read online on different educational websites that say when the heart starts pumping it usually starts beating around 90-120 then goes up as the baby grows and starts getting active. is this true? i am worried because i bleed alot with my daughter and they at first couldnt find her heart beat but she is here and healthy. i havent had any spotting since that day. but i would feel better to know that it is in a good range of beats to be starting at.

I really wouldnt be concerned, that sounds normal as from what my dr. told me. At 6.4 weeks my baby's heartrate was 107. The baby's heart is just beginning to beat and will speed up in days/weeks to come. I was also told that by the end of week 7 the fetus' hb is normally around 120, that was from the ultrasound technician.

dont stress it to much my babys heart rate at 5 weeks 5 days was 99bpm and now im almost 31 weeks! i know i also had a low projesterone count so maybe u should get that checked! good luck!
