hey i have had the mirena iud in for going on four months my periods were normal the first two months i missed my period the third month im waiting to see if i have one this month. is it normal to miss periods so early in having the iud in? could i be pregnant?

Yes Mine did the same, My periods stopped completely after the first month so yes completely normal no worries!!

Hi Greta,

I had the Mirena for 3 years. My period stopped after the first month and didn't return till I had it removed. So, yes it is totally normal for your period to stop while you have the Mirena. Enjoy it!
