just a vent, &a question !

im only 21w3d .. but im starting to get nervous about the whole giving birth process. lol. this is my first child, and altho i canNOT wait to finally hold my babyboy, i'm nervous as heck to go thru it all. i know in the end it'll all be worth it once he's in my arms. but that doesnt seem to ease all the thoughts going on in my head ! everyone keeps telling me how much it'll hurt and to get the epidural, and altho i know it'll be painful, i dont think anyone can prepare me for how intense it will actuallly be! i do have alot of support tho, so i know i wont be going thru anything alone. which i'm extremely lucky and thankful for. any of you ladies care to share some experiences ?
NOW .. for my question lol - when is the best time to start thinking of pediatricians ? i know many people who have everything thought out before their second trimester and some wait last minute lol, i dont want to wait til last minute to get everything finalized.

thanks ! i didnt wana wait til it was too close or too late, im pretty sure most pediatricians in my area do have rights to the hospital i will be delivering at. altho like you said, it happens somewhere different sometimes lol. i'll deff look into it and do some research (-:

With my first kid I started doc shopping around 25wks.  You need to try and make sure the pediatrician has rights to the hospital you are going to deliver at.  BUT if you find a pediatrician you absolutely love that doesn't, no worries! Every hospital has an on staff pediatrician for just this reason and the fact that sometimes you end up delivering in a hospital you never thought you would (I'm going to be delivering two hours from my home lol)
