low hcg not changing

I was told on Oct. 15th I was pregnant with a .5 on my bld test.  They did second bld test 10 dys later and it was the same.  Ultra sound done today, did not show anything - literally.  No visible pregnancy and no visible problems.  Any suggenstions?  I am 47, never been pregnant, no fertility drugs.  Last period 8/9 - have no idea when the ovulation took place.  Have missed periods this year.

As far as I know, 5 and under is negative, and 25 and above is positive. If there was a pregnancy, viable or not, I would think over the course of 10 days that the level would have went either up or down.

If you're having symptoms of pregnancy, I would go to another MD to figure out what's wrong cuz you can't be pregnant with an hcg level of .5...

Your hCG is .5? If that's true, then it's seen to not be pregnant. The standard guidelines for pregnancy are a level of 5 or higher and some labs have even higher standards, such as 10 or 15.
