period like cramps at 6w pregnant?

As most of you know i have history of mc's so any little thing freaks me out. Well i was asleep but woke to period like cramps, that were painful enough to wake me, and having to pee. So i went to the loo, sry tmi, and there is no blood of any kind. The cramps did last for about another 10min and have now dulled out. Should i be worried?

I had the WORST cramps right at 6 weeks with my last two pregnancies and both times it was because of an UTI. I was going to tell you that and as I read down the thread I saw that's what it ended up being.

Drink lots of cranberry juice it can help with the pain. Even after the uti is gone you'll still have cramps off and on and that normal so don't stress. Feel better soon!

I am so glad to hear everything is all right!  Now get lots of rest.  If I were you I would milk it for all it's worth.  ;-P

Im back from the doctor and all seems well. Did not get an ultrasound since i have one scheduled for Monday and insurance wont cover 2 that close together. Doctor said cramps are from the uti and since they went away after using restroom she is not worried. If they become painful or i bleed go to the er. Im now on a dha supplement on top of everything else. Also complete bedrest for the weekend.

I believe they can yes. I know many ladies who have had them and said they get back pain, and lower stomach cramping.

Ladies i did just call my doctor and with my history she said i can come in to make sure everything is ok. So im guessing she will be doing an ultrasound, right? Doctor is able to see me at 1230, hope all goes well. Also nurse said my urine came back abnormal for me having a uti, can that cause cramping?

I had a lot of period like cramping from 6 to about 9 weeks.  I also had some earlier this week (10 weeks).  It's your uterus and ligaments stretching to make room for the baby.  It's perfectly normal.

I don't know about the progesterone but I am guessing it's all your uterus and ligaments stretching.  Our bodies are working really hard right now.  I personally think everything is all right but you can call your doctor for reassurance.

Yes it is so hard not to worry with what df and i have been through. When he saw me up he ased if i was ok and when i told him i was cramping he said "do we need to go to the hospital?" Oh how i love him so much. As of now i have no cramps so i pray all is well. Just some back pain but thats normal for me anyways.

I know its hard not to worry, especially with your past.I know I worried about every cramp, pinch or pain in all my pregnancies. Rest assured, cramping in early pregnancy is pretty normal. All the best for your pregnancy.
