Even within 10 hours plan _b is not 100% effective because I got pregnant from using it.

You are so kind to want to help.  The poster has been gone since 2010 and hopefully all has worked out for her since then.

It is my understanding that you can take plan B 72 hours after any unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy.  However, it shouldn't be done much as it is a big dose or hormones that can mess up your cycle.  So, use it for emergencies but try to have a reliable, regular birth control method.  good luck

Every woman has a 20% chance of getting pregnant every month. And unless your charting your temps or using ovulation tests your ovulation date is a estimate.

You have 72 hrs to take plan B however. The longer you wait the less effective that the pill is. So, if you're going to take it I suggest you do it really soon

In order for plan b to work effectively you are supposed to take it within 24 hrs from having sex.     Im pretty sure its 24hrs.     Plan b works best if u are already on birth control.    a misconception about plan b is that it is an abortion pill.   But it is not an abortion pill.  It works by not letting the sperm fertilize the egg.
