Do you have hpv or just pre cancer cells? They don't mean the same thing. Hpv is a risk factor for developing them, it doesn't mean you have hpv if you have pre cancer. Saying "you got it sexually" doesn't make sense to me. You can simply have pre cancer cells regardless.
Hpv does not go away & yes this could mean that someone passed it to you like your husband , & you should google it and learn more.
I had abnormal pap when I was 19 . I had to have the cells on my cervix removed after a biopsy that was positive. It is uncomfortable but it hasn't had any serious impact so far.
HPV is a common cause of cervical cancer in women. In cancer causing strains in men there are no symptoms but they are just carriers. The disease can lay dormant for years at a time that's why you get tested with every pregnancy. It does not mean that your husband was with someone else.
