pregnant addicted to 20-30 pills of hydrocodone
Im taking up to 12 to 20 loratabs/hydrocodone 10.5 everyday. trying to stop.Im 12 weeks pregnant. have i hurt the baby at all i found out at 6 weeks and have tryed to stop im trying to lowerhow many i take its hard. i just wanna know if my baby will be ok? and i dont wanna tell doc. live in small town and every one know everyone.What should i do.Is my baby ok. How can i stop safely? Anyone please help
I'm nine weeks I was taking 25 pills MIN a day. I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks. I quit in 5 days. I went through withdrawal but I tried to cut back as best as I could. Flexeral helped come off the pain pills (they are a cat b so they are safe to take). It's been two weeks and im feeling a million times better. I didn't see an ob until last week and I was honest about everything. The doctor said the baby should be fine. That it's more dangerous the further along you are and the baby can become dependent on the meds and go through the withdrawals. If you have the will power to cut back as quickly and gradually as possible then do it, but in your heart if you know you need help to stop then troll your ob, he will respect you because being a doctor he will understand how hard it was for you to be honest and how courageous it was for you to ask for help! It ***** honey, but I feel a million times better! Best Wishes <3
my brothers babymama was snorting oxys n percs all throughout her prrgnancy, which caused her to have an emergency c-section. my nephew was born having seizure like spasms and withdrawels so he had to be kept in the nicu and givin morphine daily. because she didnt tell her dr.'s she had a problem her mother was givin temporary custody because they wouldnt stop using drugs when he was born. you need to be honest and think about how u could be hurting ur baby, my nephew is now two and VERY healthy, and smart, but tgat doesnt mean he didnt suffer, little bodies cant handle that.

I really have been doing better i think i can be off theses in a month or so im hoping . Way before delivery im not taking these darn addicting pills during my whole pregnancy . I will do what ever it takes. Thanks for the ones that are incourageing me it helps alot. I look forward to getting on here cause i just want someone that has acualley been there and feels whats going on in my addiction and being pregnant. It is the hardest thing in my life is taking and acceppting my self and having another child in the middle of my addiction. It *****. But i will ha a strong 26 yr old beautiful with a beautiful family accomplish this. And thank God i will be able to share detail wise what i went through and how my baby turns out. Cant wait to get my self out of this sistuiation which i already cut down more then half a day. And help somebody else. And thank you all for incouragement. My baby aint going no where.But home with me. Thats last in my concern Cps Please. Some need to leave that out of it. And drug test arint everywhere my firend smoked weed and they didnt see it turn up anyway. Just was venting and sharing a little.... Docs can't talk about your pregnancy with ANYONE no matter what! they take an oath saying they won't and if they do u can Sue the s*** out of them and they can lose their license to practice just make sure u tell him u don't want that information shared and he can't share it not even with your hubby good luck
Thanks to everybody. had ultrasound today heartrate and everything is good. plan on making appt with Doc out of town to get all test done blood work etc. Ive only took four today so im doing good so far. Hubby thing i know u guys dont understand but he would hold this agaianst me for life. I told him a few months ago and yes he was very helpful and supportive. I dont want nothing to come up later with baby. ur right. but i know im gonna get off these and i beleaive my baby will be ok. Thanks just pray for me. i will take advice.
Tell your doctor, patient confidentiality will ensure it remains between you both. There are great risks to your baby especially at the doses you are taking. As a pharmacist I know of a patient who's baby hard birth defects as a result of hydrocodone misuse. Your baby will become addicted and will need to be given the drug after birth to prevent withdrawl symptoms some of which include reduction in your baby's ability to breathe. The dose will eventually be reduced to zero until your baby is no longer going to suffer withdrawl symptoms. I can imagine this is hard for you and can tell you are very concerned for your baby. You must seek medical help, if you ignore it now it will become apparent in front of everyone if there are problems during your pregnancy or delivery. Better to sort it out now. Good luck hoping for the best for you and little one.
Wow, am I reading this right? Sounds like your murdering your unborn child to me. 10.5's? What is that like 1500 milligrams of hydrocodone? And the amount your taking is more than a grown *** 300 pound body builder I know takes! Sorry not trying to make you feel bad but you need to stop that right away!! Because if your baby doesn't die, then seems as if it would come out drug addicted/retarded and get tooken from you

Why not be honest with your hubby and doc? Youre married and supposed to be honest with one another!! If youre serious about getting off them than honesty is your best bet.
And definatly cut down till you stop hopefully with doctors help your baby experiences EVERYTHING u do and withdrawels and other consiquenses advertised for cold turkey not safe for either of you. My gf was addicted to vicodin and a few others selmas or something I forgot name she thought we didn't know n she didn't get help her son is 3 adorable but very slow and has mental imparments physically and mentally.
You and your baby need help immediatly you took them knowing or not through the forming time it heart n brain. Going to a different doctor makes sense. But your secret is most likely not as secret as you know pleople close to you probable know more then you realize. And they do urine drug tests so your doctor knows already something not right even if not identified substanse yet and if you don't seek help under confidentiality he is mandated to report. Also they test at delivery under your signature for the acceptance of treatment and they will call cps and you don't want that or an unhealthy baby caused only by your weakness and embarrasment not judging at all. Totally worried for you both. You are about to be a mom let's start acting like one now as hard as it may be. I will be praying for both yours and banter health.
I agree with snab... u should find a way to tell ur husband instead of him finding out if something were to be wrong with the baby... u need support and he will be able to give u that once u come clean
I would seriously encourage you to find a doctor to work with you for the sake of your baby and you. They can help wean you off of the meds or at least get you to a safe level. Stopping them all together could cause your little one to go into wathdrawls during your pregnancy with dire consequenses. I wish you all best with this challenge youre facing. Please get some help for the both you. If its possible to tell your husband, I would, you really need some support with this. Best of luck to you. Youll be in my thoughts :)
Pls tell your doc my.cousin didn't and her baby was full term with Brady cardia a heart disease and died a day after birth please get help if u want a healthy baby

tomorrow when you go to take them... take one out. also write it down.. how many you took and what time you took them. so when you get ready to take more look back at when you last took them and think about if you really need it or not. try to distract yourself. go out for a walk or go to a store get out of the house if possible and try to wait it out as long as possible before taking more. then on sat try not to take any more then you took on friday.. keep recording it and make sure you track it and never take more then the day before. do that for a few days and then cut 1 or 2 more out again
