pregnant after mirena removal?

hi,
I had my mirena coil removed on the 10th of November and we have been ttc since. I think I should be due my period in the next few days maybe the 3rd of Dec, but for the past 2 weeks i have had mild abdominal cramping, my boobs have become hard, tender and larger and i am unusually tired/ exhausted. i took a test on the 24th of november which turned out negative, but i just have that pregnant feeling like i had for my last child.............
does anyone know can these symptoms be caused by removal of the mirena coil?
I hate this waiting!

I have not heard of the mirena being linked to multiples! I think (in my opinion) you were just extra lucky!!!
best of luck :))

I had the mirena removed in June and in October got pregnant. Found out i'm having twins...wondering if it has anything to do with the mirena!

just a dash of my personal opinion...and ya know opinions are like ummmm noses...everybody's got one.

Be very careful getting pregnant right off the mirena.  Your body just isn't completely ready I think.  I got pregnant 3 months after having it removed, and I lost the pregnancy. You need to give your uterine wall a little time to rebuild.  It has now been a year since mine has been out and I am hoping and praying that this is a successful and healthy pregnancy.  Before I had my mirena, i had no pregnancy problems at all, so personally, I (naturally) blame the mirena.

I pray that you conceive just at the right time - whenever that may be.  Good luck to ya!

hi,
I am interested to hear if you got a positive! you may have tested too early last week.... I also do know from my own experience that after removal of the coil, you can have many pregnancy symptoms. since nov 10th removal I have had abdominal cramping and swollen, tender boobs, also darkening on the nipples.....along with a 2 day period dec 1st......all very confusing!
I am hopeful for you and for myself I just hope that i ovulate this month (ive heard that it can take a while to ovulate after removal) and we can continue ttc!

baby dust for all ttc :)

I am ttc and had my coil removed on Oct 6 2009 no bleeding that day at all.... then had my normal period on Oct 19,2009 for 3 days. (keep in mind I had a period every month while on the mirena same day. my period should have come nov 19th and still nothing 12 days past due today havent taken a preg test since last week tuesday which was negative and it was a dollar store one since I heard they were accurate... negative...then last night my breast was stuck to my bra.. i looked and i have clear sticky liquid coming out of both of nipples similar to when i was preg the first two times i was pregnant... its been over 5 years since i have been prego so i dont know what is going on.  Is it the hormones not getting me to start or is the hormones causing colostrum in breast or what?  I have dr appt on friday so I am praying for a positive test. :) kinda nervous.. any advice from anyone.... did anything similar happen to any of you?

The mirena is notorious for giving pregnancy symptoms upon removal. After i miscarried bc of my mirena it took me 3 months before i even started ovulating again.
