pregnant and addicted

I just recently found out that I'm about 5 weeks pregnant. I'm 29 and have been on a suboxone treatment for about the past 4 months. Since discovering I was pregnant.  I decided to stop taking suboxone. I am withdrawaling not too ad but bad enough and want to know if this is terribly wrong to do and if there's anything I. Can do or take to alleviate the withdrawal symptoms.  Thanks.

Please call the doctor that prescribed it or call you OBGYN right away.  Withdrawal symptoms are just as bad or the baby and taking the medication itself.  since you are only 5 weeks, the baby is most likely not addicted but it is feeling the pain your feeling.

I know its easier said than done but try not to take anything.  If this baby is what you want, just keep thinking of him/her.  MAKE that you motivation!!!   Love that baby more than you love yourself or the addiction. Get into a group or get a sponsor, someone to help you through it.

Good luck honey

NEVER stop taking anything while pregnant. You put your baby at serious risk because they go through withdrawals as well and this can kill them. You need to see your doctor ASAP to talk about what they want you to do.

You should tell your doctor that prescibed it to you that you are pregnant.
