preparing for pregnancy

Me and my husband planned not to have a baby yet because we are not financially stable. So I take pills for about 2 weeks in order for me not to get pregnant, and I stopped taking it because some of my friends told me that it is bad to take pills when you haven't pregnant yet.So I'm afraid of that. But now ,we are planning to have at this time and we are both ready to become parents. I just want  to know if the pills are safe to take even if I don't get pregnant before? Do the pills can harm?

Please consult a doctor when you're wondering something, and not your friends. The information they gave you was incorrect. The point of BC is to prevent pregnancy, regardless of if you've had a child before--

Taking BC in the past doesn't harm a future pregnancy nor does it harm your body because you've not been pregnant. However, you weren't protected when you used them. BC has to be used perfectly for at least 1 month to be effective in the body.
