4 weeks. :-) It's illogical, which is probably why your husband doesn't understand, but doctors still count you as being pregnant for two weeks longer than there's actually been a baby in your body. That's because before pregnancy tests were common, the only thing they had to go by was the last time the woman had a period.
I should also mention my pregnancies have always been almost exactly the same time of year and always 2 years apart. We don't try for it that way that's just how it happens. Ex: my first was born may 3, 2006 (girl) my second may 11, 2008 (boy) my 3rd April 26 2010 ( she was due may 9th and I was induced early) my fourth was a miscarriage in July (when I normally conceive) and now number 5 :)
We have to use ultrasound to date my pregnancies (this will be my 5 pregnancy) because I only have a period once a year actually thanks to the fact of having a miscarriage in July I had 3 this year.
My LMP was Oct 21 and I'm 4w3d now. Go back to your first day of you last period and that's how far approx you are. If you were 2 weeks Oct 26 you technically were 4 weeks. So right now you're 7w2d
You would be 4 weeks. As you said, at 2 weeks you would only just be ovulating.
