really confused with ultrasound picture.

hi there,
I am here giving the link of my ultrasound picture of 18 weeks. Please take a clear look at the picture an d tell me what do u think. The tech. told me girl becoz he saw the lines in between the legs of the baby......but if u will see u will find that one of these lines is really big, going to the mid of the thigh. That is the thing which is confusing me, if it is a girl what is that long line. do u guys think that it could be a boy. Your opinion would be appreciated .

Thats DEF. a girl! I have all boys and I know what boy parts look like on ultrasound from every angle imaginable lol. I have 3 boys my recent one will be 6 weeks this week lol. Don't fret my dear, go ahead and buy all pink and pretty frill dresses because that not a penis lol.

In developing baby girls the clitorus(sp) is swollen, it is actually the last vaginal part to develop and it still developes after the baby girl is born. So don't worry, it's a girl and I bet she is absolutely beautiful!

Looks like a girl...if you want you can check my profile...I have a picture of my 18w ultrasound and it was a boy.  You can clearly see the difference.

Looks like a girl to me....... I have read a couple other posts from you and I know you were really hoping for a boy BUT i am sure once you see your little princess you will just fall in love with her.... Congrats

That is SOOOO a girl! The clitoris is swollen because all of your hormones are also absorbed by baby. Her private area will be swollen at birth, too. But that is definitely a GIRL! I didn't even have to hesitate when I looked at the picture. A little penis wouldn't be that pointy at the top, either. It'd be more round.

That's what mine looked like too, and the tech said it was definitly a girl - the doctor agreed.  The "lips" tend to be swollen, you'll see that when their born, so that could be the case.  I know how you feel though because the more I stare at the picture, the more I doubt it!  But, if you look at any boy ultrasounds (you can google boy/girl ultrasound pics), and you'll see the boys aren't just 2 "outlines" to form a penis - they are solid.  Don't know how to better explain it but just check em out.

It looks like a girl.  If it's a boy, trust me you'd see the penis!  It's something that doesn't go unnoticed!  That could just be her leg.  Or her chord.
