That's a big NO NO . All those chemicals are harmful to your baby.
I've never actually heard of it being dangerous after the 1st trimester - I've just heard that you have to be careful because your hair might not take to the dye as well as it normally would and that it could either fade really quickly or turn a different color than what you had thought.
I don't think it did anything, I've heard it's safe in the first trimester, it's really you not needing to be around all the chemicals. Better safe than sorry...just stay away from dying your hair, it's only 40 weeks, and you're almost halfway there...
My OB recommended that it would be better not to dye your hair during pregnancy. I would directly ask your OB for his/her advice/opinion. Often reading conflicting things on the internet can make one paranoid and overtly worried. I'm the same :-)
I agree - get your OB's recommendation. I certainly don't agree that it's a "big NO NO". I've read a lot about it and if you're doing it in a well ventilated place you and your baby should be fine, especially past the 1st trimester. I personally don't dye my hair in pregnancy because it doesn't last as long, on me.
I dyed my hair in my second trimester (around 24 weeks) with my daughter. She's 20 months and perfectly healthy. I also dyed my hair around 24 weeks in this pregnancy too. I heard that it is fine in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. I'm sure your fine.
