So I haven't told my parents I'm pregnant yet and I'm kinda scared to tell them because of how they'll react in the past they've hit me before because the coos said it's ok to do so Wich  I understand but can they do that if I'm pregnant?

They can not do that period.it is never okay to hit a child.i was in an abusive household since i was 11 years old.when i was 16 i had enough and left.how old are you? And just so you know if ANYBODY was to hit you and your child was harmed in any way they could be charged for attempted murder of your baby.and assult towards you.

They shouldn't hit you period. I can understand a smack on the butt, but not to where it's abuse. you are with a child now, so if they even lay a finger on you, you can get them for attempting to harm your baby like someone already mentioned. I assume by coos, you meant cops which the cops should never ever say that a parent can hit their child. The definition of hit to a cop can be the complete opposite of a parent's definition of hit. You are a young adult. I know you may be scared, but you will have to tell them soon.

No one has the right to hit you for any reason. You need to find a safe place to live with a friend or family member that knows and understands your situation. You dont want to raise a child in an abusive household, its not safe for you or the child.

How old were you and why did they hit you? Is it the only time they've hit you? I only ask because everyones assuming your parents are abusive. My mom hit me one time in my life, she smacked me in the face when I was 12 because I was very disrespectful to my grandmother. I dont believe in hitting as a primary form of discipline, but trust me I work with kids on probation and lots of behavioral problems and sometimes its necessary. Have you ever had your 16 yr old try to hit you because you told them there not allowed to.smoke pot? Ok because my clients have. In regards to your situation, are you in an abusive household or have your parents hit you like once in your life? If your scared, have a friend or trusted adult with you when u tell them. oh and if they do hit yeah you can go to the police, but unlike what the first poster stated, they would not be charged with attempted murder. Thats not how our legal system works. Your baby is legally not considered a "person" so it would be assault against you. If that were the case people would be, prosecuted left and right for abortions.

In the past they would hit you. Its okay to spank your kids when its necessary, thats why cops say its okay but what its not okay is to leave marks or bruices on your kids which is child abuse. But you havent said how your mom hit you? Any ways they arent allowed to hit you while been pregnant and if they due they CANNOT be charged with attempted murder for your unborn child but will be charge for abuse. I do spank my kid when he is disrespectful with me or other people but only in the butt.
