That's amazing!! I'm glad that she is doing so well. Congrats on your baby girl. I have a friend who had her baby at 23 weeks as well and he is now 7 years old, doing great!! So yes you're right, shouldn't listen to the negative.
I woke up around 12:30pm went pee stood up and then there was a gush of water so I called my doctor and they made me go straight to labor and delivery and sure enough my water broke it took 3 days to make her appearance but when she did it was all so fast..... I wont lie I cried the whole time they told me it was time I was so freaked out but she's doing good so I'm happy..... There was one doctor that talked to me when I first went in that didn't want me to do ventalators or anything wanted me to let her go I said no she deserves a fighting chance and now she's so surprised on how well she's doing and my baby don't need breathing tubes....So never listen to negative doctors I'm glad I didnt follow your heart
Omg that us amazing to hear that she is doing so well, you're very blessed. You must have Been so scared!! It's nice to hear about positive stories and outcomes. What exactly happened? You went into labor?
My dr said that they wouldnt try to stop labor after 35w for me.
Even if you do have to deliver now your little one still has a really good chance of making it I had my baby girl 2 weeks ago Saturday I was 23+2 weeks I was due December 23 but she came out kicking and crying and she's doing so amazing it makes me proud :) she's just now starting to open her eyes she's amazing it ***** she has to stay in the hospital till she's bigger and stronger but she proved one of the doctors wrong so don't get to stressed out over things think positive honey everything will be alright
There will be a family support office in your area, the handle Medicare and food stamps, etc. Contact them and they will know where to go. Or even just ask someone at the l&d ward.
You did? How far along are you now? How is everything going?
Yes, definitely want to keep the baby in until 37 weeks! At least you're practically 35 weeks! Every day I'm pregnant now I count as a blessing! I'll take all the minor discomforts, just want my baby to stay inside my womb!!!
Wow so they didn't do anything but bed rest? I just called my job today and told them I can't work anymore for now :/ I'm the only income for my house hold and so stressed about it. Is TDI specific to your state? I'm in Florida, I wonder who I can call for some assistance!? I'm so scared I want my baby to stay inside!!!
I just got out the hospital yesterday. I'm 34 weeks will be 35 weeks tomorrow. I was 3cm dilated and 80% effaced. They gave me the shot to stop the contractions and put me on bed rest for 2 weeks. I was still having a small contractions so they told me i may not make it to my due date. But everything is still good and if i have him at this point he will still be fine but i want to at least wait til I'm 37 weeks.
I went to the hospital a few days ago for pain and I was having contractions every 3 minutes. I'm only 24 weeks. They didn't even give me a shot, just put me on bed rest for 2 weeks. So now I'm out of work and on TDI, temporary disability insurance. You can claim it for up to 26 weeks if you are employed and they pay you56% of your pay. At least it's something. Because right now I'm in the same position, take care of myself and deliver a healthy baby when he's fully developed or go to work and go into premature labor? It's a hard decision no mother should have to make but that's how it is. I'm thinking of taking all of my TDi which would take me to my due date in December and then try to resume my job or find another one. Baby comes first.
I went to hospital AGAIN yesterday for contracting. They gave me the shot again :/ I still don't feel that they are working, I'm still feeling contractions!! What else can I do at this point? I don't want to continue to get this dang shot that isn't doing anything to help!!
I was contracting every 2-3 minutes at 34 weeks and they gave me the shot.. I never really felt anything but back pain but I was 4cm and 75% effaced. I stayed in the hospital for two days went home and then was back in the hospital 3 days later. They gave me another shot and pills. Now they won't stop my contractions. I feel some now but not horrible. I'm now 36 weeks and they're inducing me at 37 if I don't go by then. My contractions never stopped when they gave me the shots though.
i just lived normally, i took a week of taking it easy and shorter shifts at work, and after that just went back to doing my thing.
Thank you guys, it really helps to hear positive outcomes from others! Did you guys take it really easy after the episode or continue to live a normal life?
With my second i did at 32 weeks and didn't come back at all then with this pregnancy i was 22 weeks and had to get it I'm 27 weeks now and have not yet had them :)
dont look things up online, it will terrify you, my son is a healthy, very very smart 4 year old now. i'm sure all will be fine :)
That's all I know is put my feet up and drink water. It didn't help :/ I really wish I didn't get the shots now that I'm reading the studies behind it. I worry a lot!
Ooh I really hope I do not start contacting again! I hope I can last at least until until 37 weeks!
When I was 7 months preg with my oldest I was having contractions they just told me to rest often and put my feet up. And water water water. Being slightly dehydrated can give you contractions especially if you're up walking around a lot
I did with my 1st at about 30 weeks, he stayed in until exactly his due date, no problems at all!
