Dont itch! Itching causes stretch marks!

I'm 19 weeks and I'm very itchy,  my obgyn told me the itching comes with pregnancy it's nothing you can do about it but use coconut oil, or the coconut lard found in the cooking isle it will help the stretch marks better then cocoa butter.

I had this. It acts up at night especially. It is called PUPPPs

Oatmeal lotions will help and witch hazel helps. Baths are not good because you want to try to dry it out more then anything. It will either go away on its own or if you have a severe case it will only go away until labor. My doctor prescribed me a antihistamine pill to help me from scratching and that Is very important so your skin can actually heal from it! If you continue to scratch it you will start to form either small hives OR a large purple/red spot on your skin it is also important to get something to help from scratching because if you continue you could possibly get an infection from breaking the skin open!

Please talk to your doctor about this ASAP! I will pray it's not PUPPPS because they really are terrible!

Omg omg i am going through the same exact thing especially on my thighs and it only itches at night too! I am 28 weeks pregnant with my first. I called my doctor and went in and she told me it's normal bc you get drier skin during pregnancy and to get unscented bar soap like dove and an unscented laundry detergent abd make sure you moisturize your skin every day. She told me I can tske benadryl and i use cortizone 10 hydratensive anti itch lotion that I'd made for eczema. She told me if it's worse she can test me for something pregnant woman get called "pupps" which is when your skin breaks out, etc. I wasn't convicted and cleaned my hoise, washed my dogs thinking it was something on my clothes. Anyways you're not the only one! Oh and after i shower i put baby powder all over my legs, stomach, butt, arms and chest and that seems to help me a lot! But yeah for me it's only on my legs and usually at night. I itch till I make big red marks abd bumps then I have to take benadryl to help me sleep! If you find out anything let me know! I am going to the doctor tomorrow for my glucose test so I'll ask her again what I can do or what else it can be!
