still spotting :( --- how long does it last

im currently 15 weeks pregnant

friday i noticed in the morning i was spotting brown discharge...so i called my on call nurse and they told me i had to be seen that day to see what was going...so i went to the doc and she found the heart rate (152) and did an internal...durng the internal she said my cervix was closed and she could see brown mucous so she took a sample to make sure i didnt have a bacteria infection...she then sent me for an u/s to see if everything was ok....i got an internal u/s and an adominal.....i even found out im having a girl.....i was on cloud 9.....

so saturday morning i wake up and now my spotting is dark red with brown and more of it...so i call the on call nurse again and she tells me to go to the ER....so off I go to the ER...the ER doc gets a heartbeat (151), uses a catheter to determine if the blood that was in my urine sample is actually in my urine or from the cervix...he checks my cervix...says its closd and everything looks good...sends me home on strict bed rest for the rest of the weekend

so sunday morning...i wake up and go to the bathroom and again there is brown discharge...

im so sad right now and i just dont know...i dont remember this ever happening

how long does this last? has anybody had this for over 3 days and went on with a healthy pregnancy/

im so scared im going to lose this baby :(

I spotted the entire time I was pregnant with my son and he is a perfectly healthy boy.  I was at the OBs office literally every 2 weeks and they could never find what was causing it.  I did see a specialist and he stated there is an increase in spotting and bleeding in pregnancies now with no known cause and the pregnancies have not been effected.  I spotted with my current pregnancy up until 19 weeks.  They found a small suchorionic bleed that cleared up on its own (they usually disappear by 20 weeks).  When I was in the ER at about 18 weeks pregnant the woman dr I saw said she bleed her entire pregnancy and delivered a healthly baby.  Sometimes there is no explanation for the bleeding.

she lost the baby and is in the hospital right now because of all the blood loss.

i dont know why this could have happen but any tissue that u pass should be saved for observation i hope everything goes well

I having some problem myself- I will be 16 weeks tomarrow, haven't have any kind of spotting until Friday 2/29 around 11:30 pm.  Sorry if I gross anybody out-I went to use the restroom and when I was wiping there was coloration on the napkin, kept wiping and then  the napkins had a stringing mucus with blood on it.  I went to flush the toilet and saw that there was a blood tissue little less then .50 cm round.  Since then nothing-now it's Sunday afternoon except last night when I wipe there was very light brown mucus on the napkin but very little.  My dh thinks that it might be from the baby moving around and something could be irritated.  My doc and nurse doesn 't work until Tuesday so I will call them then.    I was seen at my 14 weeks checkups and the doc was able to pick up the heartbeat right away.

If anybody have any insights and similar experience please let me know. I post a question couple days ago and no response.

momnpain - im supposed to call my doc tomorrow to see when my next check up will be - i have a regular appt on march 11 and im hoping they are not going to make me wait til then

to all the other ladies - thank you for your support...im going to relax today and drink lots of water and pray tomorrow morning this is over

this has been very scary but im staying positive that my little angel is ok while this happening

My mom bled, bright red, her entire pregnancy with my brother....he's now 37 and an army pilot :)  

Sometimes these things just happen but don't necessarily mean anything is wrong.  Try to keep faith, it sounds like everything with the baby is just fine.

It might last up to a week, depending on where it's coming from. I thought I was out of the clear too...but I've learned differently in the past few weeks.

When do you see your doctor again? If it's not for a while, I'd call him tomorrow morning and ask them how long it might last AND to see if they know what's causing it yet.

i havent had any spotting or anything until friday...i thought making it to the 2nd trimester cleared me of this worrying about spotting but im so scared and wish it would stop

Aww honey...do they know where the blood is coming from, yet? If not, when will they? If the baby looks good and your cervix is closed, I wouldn't worry just yet. Have you had intercourse lately? That would be the cause of it....or you could just be one of those people who spot. Don't worry, you and your angel are going to be fine. If you start cramping or anything, call your DR immediately. We're all here for you.

this weekend has been awful and i wish it would just stop...i havent had any spotting until friday and every time i go to the bathroom it makes me sadder

I hope all is going well with your pregnancy...I had a friend who spotted almost her entire pregnancy, and has a healthy daughter who is almost two years old.
