I'm wondering if this is a sign that labor will come soon. Lately I have been having really soft, light colored poos. This is unusual. The whole pregnancy it has been hard and dark with occasional constipation. NO constipation anymore at all and with the softness and lightness in color it seems somewhat diharea (sp? sorry!) like. And I know that is a sign of labor.

I'm moving across the country next week and hope this baby isnt on his way!! Do this think this means its getting close?

thanks for the update! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow too and I'll see if I'm dilated or effaced or anything. Otherwise I'll stop worrying about the **** lol!

ok guys...  update on the poo going around, lol!!!!!!!

my doc was not concerned that it was a sign of labor in my case.  he asked if i was drinking enough fluids and getting enough rest...  ummmm... no and no!!!  but he did not say that it was a sign of labor coming!  which i guess is good for me since i'm a scheduled c-section!

It CAN be a sign or it could just be a change in your body chemistry or something you ate...or even a gastrointestinal bug you caught.   Unless you are having other signs I wouldn't worry terribly...You can always ask your doc to check and see if anything else has changed...ie: effacement, dialation, etc.

I have been having the same types of stools, I was in L&D last night and they had to stop contractions b/c i am only 35 weeks and they want the baby to "cook" longer.

Nesting is a sign that the baby is coming soon... you suddenly get this weird urge that EVERYTHING has to be in place and completely neat as a pin. I however never had this urge but I do hear that it happens to people right before they go into labor.

Really Joy I have been having this for a week now and today I just had this huge burst of energy and cleaned my whole house... Which I have not felt like doing since I got pregnant.  Does that really a sign the baby is comming soon?

Kim1989 is correct. It can happen weeks before labor. BUT it does mean your body is busy getting ready for baby's arrival. If you feel the urge to clean everything in sight, and then feel extremely exhausted, then you KNOW baby is coming soon! LOL!

lol seems like quite a few people having the same issue. I was having this a few days ago and nothin happened. Still not back to the usual, but I don't know!! I was curious about it, too!

No cramping. Nothing else out of the ordinary. Well my feet and hands are swollen and achy but thats nothing. I'm somewhere around 34 or 35 weeks. My dating has been really messed up. I just hope I don't go into labor on the roadtrip!

i've had that same thing for the last couple days!  i have an appt in the morning and i was going to ask the doc about it just b/c its really annoying.  i feel pressure and how small bowl movements a couple times a day now that are like what you described (almost diarreah).  i didn't think it had to do w/ labor but i was going to ask about it anyways...  i'll tell you what he tells me!

How far along are you?? I know a few days before labor I was having alot of soft bowel movement.  Loose stools isnt a very good indicater of labor unless you are daillated and your body is getting ride of STUFF, lol, in preperation for whats to come:)
